Remote monitoring

Continuous machine health monitoring, analysed by people who read the data every day

We deliver remote condition monitoring on industry-leading platforms — sensors, alarms, diagnostics and reporting — backed by regular client meetings that end with clear, actionable advice. Delivered from the UK, with close working relationships in the USA and Canada.

A monitoring platform is only as good as the person reading it

Plenty of plants have already bought sensors. Far fewer are getting value from them. The hardware goes in, alarms start firing, nobody has time to work out which ones matter, and within a year the system is ignored. Remote monitoring as a service fixes the missing half: experienced analysts who log in, review the data, tune the alarms and tell you in plain English what to do.

We have spent years providing remote monitoring for clients on the industry-leading platforms, across manufacturing, process and energy assets. That experience means we know how these systems behave in the real world — where they are strong, where they over-alarm, and how to configure them so your team trusts what comes out.

This is a standalone service. You can run it on its own, or alongside on-site work where a physical inspection adds something the sensors cannot see.

Why remote, and why now

  • Faults are caught between site visits, not at the next one.
  • Sensor and connectivity costs have fallen far enough for mid-sized plants.
  • Data is trended continuously, so rate of change is visible early.
  • Travel and downtime for routine data collection are reduced.
  • Multi-site and international assets are covered to one standard.
  • Evidence is retained, so warranty and root-cause discussions are factual.

What the service covers

End to end, from choosing where sensors earn their place through to the meeting where we agree what your team does next.

Sensor and platform deployment

We help you choose, specify and commission wireless or wired sensors on the assets that justify them, then get the data flowing cleanly into the platform with sensible measurement setups, sample rates and asset hierarchies.

Industry-leading platforms

We have hands-on experience delivering remote monitoring for clients on the major online condition monitoring platforms used across manufacturing, energy and process industries. We are deliberately platform-agnostic: if you already have a system, we work in it rather than selling you a replacement.

Alarm management and triage

Untuned alarms are the fastest way to make a monitoring system ignored. We set alarm bands against ISO guidance and real machine behaviour, review every exception, and filter noise so your team only hears from us when something genuinely matters.

Expert remote diagnostics

Data alone is not a diagnosis. An experienced analyst interprets spectra, waveforms and trends to identify bearing degradation, imbalance, misalignment, looseness, gear mesh faults, cavitation and electrical signatures — with severity and likely time to action.

Trending and reporting

Continuous data means trends measured in hours rather than months. You get regular written reports with prioritised findings, severity ratings, trend comparisons and clear recommendations you can hand straight to a planner.

Dashboards your team will use

We configure fleet views, asset health summaries and mobile access so maintenance, production and management each see the level of detail they need — not a wall of raw data nobody opens.

The reporting rhythm

Predictable contact points so remote monitoring never becomes a system running quietly in the background that nobody acts on.

Continuous

Sensors stream data into the platform around the clock. Machines that only get looked at monthly on a route are now watched between visits.

Daily / on exception

Alarms and exceptions land with our analysts. Anything urgent is escalated to your named contact the same working day, by phone if it warrants it.

Monthly

A written remote monitoring report covering every monitored asset: what changed, what it means, what to do and how soon.

Quarterly

A structured review meeting with your team. We walk the findings, close out previous actions, look at repeat offenders and agree the plan for the next quarter.

Client meetings that end in actions

The meeting is where remote monitoring earns its keep. We do not read a report aloud — we sit down with your maintenance and production people and agree what happens next.

  • Every finding presented in plain language, with the vibration evidence behind it available if your team wants to see it.
  • A prioritised action list with owners and timescales, not a data dump.
  • Review of previous actions: what was done, what the data shows since, what is still open.
  • Repeat-failure discussion — where the same fault keeps returning, we look at root cause, installation practice and lubrication rather than just re-reporting it.
  • Input into shutdown and outage planning so corrective work lands in a window that suits production.
  • Coaching for your maintenance team so they get more from the platform themselves.

UK delivery, with close relationships in the USA and Canada

Remote monitoring is not limited by geography. We maintain close working relationships with reliability specialists, platform providers and sensor suppliers on both sides of the Atlantic, so international sites are monitored to the same standard — and local hands are available when hardware needs fitting.

United Kingdom

Our home base. Remote monitoring is delivered from the UK and pairs naturally with on-site visits from the Reliability Route where a physical inspection or handheld follow-up is needed.

United States

Close working relationships with reliability partners, platform specialists and sensor suppliers across the USA, built through years of delivering monitoring programmes for multi-site clients.

Canada

Established Canadian contacts for hardware supply, installation support and local field work, so a Canadian site can be brought onto the same reporting standard as the rest of the group.

Who it suits

  • Remote, unmanned or hard-to-access assets where sending someone out is expensive or unsafe.
  • Critical machines where a monthly snapshot is not frequent enough to catch a fast-developing fault.
  • Multi-site groups that want one consistent reporting standard across every plant.
  • Sites with an existing platform that was installed and then quietly abandoned because nobody had time to analyse the data.
  • Plants with limited in-house reliability resource that need expert eyes without a permanent headcount.
  • Assets under warranty or performance guarantees where continuous evidence matters.

Pricing depends on asset count, platform and reporting frequency — contact us for pricing. As with our on-site work, a 12-month agreement carries the better rate.

Next step

Already have sensors nobody is reading?

Send us the platform you're on and the assets you're monitoring. We'll tell you honestly what the data is worth and what it would take to turn it into decisions.
